I have a 1968 580 ck case backhoe with a power shuttle transmission. The problem is the pedal that you push to put it into mutual is all the way down. It went out while running when I pushed it it went all the way down and never came back up. I had to force the lever on the steering column out of gear to stop. Any answers on how to fix this issue. Thanks

OK sounds like the return spring broke on the pedal, there is also a cam/follower system that can go bad and make the pedal stick, but you Do Not need to use the "clutch" to shift that power shuttle, idle down and shift the fwd/rev lever, put it in "N" to shift the 4 speed, the only thing that "clutch" pedal is for is to give you full engine speed when say loading a truck ect,

check the linkage from the pedal tot he control valve, link should take you to the parts breakdown, I had to post the 580B as the Case on-line book does not have the 580CK, these parts are the same on both machines
