Tom ,I know that that can not be a pic of lorens log hauler, His truck does not have whitewalls .HEE HEE! CM

Well Bro; close but no cigar. Here is a pic of my dads old wood hauler. I would venture a guess that it hauled at least 250 tons of wood out of the woods during his lifetime. I probably hauled another 40T out with it after he died, before I retired it. Here is a pic of the last couple of days wood hauls. Now using the 440 with my home built trailer and the 831C with my newest built larger trailer. Both loads in the 3 Ton range. I lifted most all that tonnage onto the splitter with the exception of the 80# plus blocks, but the elevator that I built delivers it up and into the trailers. My home built Jib pole on my splitter lifts them.
During my seasons wood cutting, I have lost about 20# of flab, this summer and feel quite physically fit for 70 plus year old. Bro, I ain't quite done with the wood for this year yet!!

My current method of firewood handling. Modular, stackable and easy to move around in bulk instead of one piece at a time. Helps if you can get "dirty" totes from fertilizer plants on the cheap or free too.

We had an old one of these floating around, that is a catch all for things that need moved around by pallet forks. It got filled with splits one day and said, wish we had a bunch more of them.

There was an ICB tote sitting around that we've been filling with used waste motor oils for recycle, got to thinking those are readily available and cheap, just take the tank out. Don't stack the wood as high as in the picture though if you want to stack them, it needs to be just below the metal to stack good on top of each other. That one was meant to go on top, so it got some extra. Have 1 of wild cherry, 2 of hedge (osage orange) and 2 of black locust so far.
