I have a 1963 Case G530 Construction King Forklift where the seal on the main forklift cylinder has blown/leaks badly, I have removed the very large cylinder (about 10') and am not able to pull the piston out. I do not want to use too much force for fear of doing more damage. Anybody know the key/trick to removing the piston? I have already remove the treaded collar and the cylinder is a one sided presure cylinder in that presure is used to raise the cylinder and forks and it comes down on release by gravity. How do I remove the piston to get to the seals and what kind of seals are used? Anybody Know?
