steering motor leaking on my shoes

Case 1490. Having a problem with the steering motor leaking on my shoes and it's causing slippery dangerous conditions climbing on and off the tractor and keeping my slippery shoe on the clutch. I need to add fluid to the power steering pump every couple of days as it leaks right from under the steering wheel down the dash and onto the floorboards. See picture. Is there an "O" ring or seal in there that can be replaced? The whole unit is rather pricey at app $500 USC. Has anyone repaired one of these and can describe the procedure for stopping the leak?

My boys, back when they were delivering papers had a slip on set of cleats the paper co gave them and they were supposed to wear them whenever it snowed or was below 0? (salt doesn't work threshold) I could send you a pair?

Try putting cih Hy-Tran in the system, I have sealed up two of mine just by doing this,, it has a seal rejuvenation additive in it, my 380 (885 DB) leaked it out over night, added Hy-Tran I have not added any since, my one 1470 used to drip out of the steering wheel hyd pump hooked to the wheel, after I changed it over to Hy-Tran it took a couple weeks to seal it 100% before that I had to change out a drip rag daily, also seen it seal or at least drastically slow down leaks, pretty cheap to try it

I have been using Hy-tran since I owned it, don't know what was in there, but she keeps leaking. Has anyone fixed the steering motor by replacing something in it?

I do keep a set of rags just under the steering wheel but it seems something more long term must be done.

been 30 years since I tore into one, yes the steering unit has to come off, as for price a seal kit or hose should not be too bad,, if its leaking bad she will pay back pretty quick in oil savings
