Case VAI Speeds

I have a 1950 Case VAC on which I have installed the non-adjustable wide front from a VAI. I also have the 1947 VAI that I took the wide front from. Are all VAIs geared faster than the VA and VAC? How can you tell the difference in them without actually running them? Is there any information available as to the difference in the gear ratios?

If I understand it right ... the gear shift that has 1 & 3 on top and R , 2 & 4 on the bottom are fast .. you can shift faster ... if the top is 1 & 2 and the bottom R , 3 & 4 are the slower ones ..

I'm sure if this is wrong someone will chime up ...

Thanks, Dutchman. That's exactly what I have here. Never noticed the difference in the shift patterns. Any idea what the speeds should be on 9.5 x 24 tires?
