Anybody have any info about a Case model G hammermill? One was found in an old barn being torn down a few miles from here today. Thanks, Don

Yes John, it's mine now. Unfortunately we have barns being taken down almost weekly now. This area is going to look a whole lot different in 10 years. Don

SO if I hear what your saying Don, is I need to hook up my trailer ,and start knocking on doors in your area ,and ask to take a peek in the old barns. Sounds like a good excuse to come for a visit HEY! CM

(quoted from post at 06:33:09 08/27/17) Thanks Nick! It is exactly the same unit. Don

Don,
Going by the serial number I think mine is a 1933 model. If yours has the rectangular duct coming from the fan I would guess it's early to mid 30's and if your duct is round then it could have been built sometime after 36. My info is not real clear on years. I have 2 parts books one is from 1932 and the other is later but not dated. Tom's brochure is from the eagle hitch time period and I think the G-series trail type in it is a heavily updated version of mine.

I've a 4 page brochure dated Feb of 1933 on the G mill. I've only a batch scanner working at the
moment, which does a stack of single pages. I can run down the road to a neighbor who's got a flatbed
unit if you're interested and scan it for you

We had a newer painted trail unit when I was little. dad bought a new 1150 IH mixer and gave the Case to my grandpa to grind some ear corn for his calves. Later he had it cut up for scrap. I haven't seen one like it for years.
