My take of Albert City

It was one of the best shows I have ever attended. It started out early Thursday morning as I wanted a chance to try my hand at blacksmithing. We arrived just after 8:00. As we walked the grounds, my wife said to look up and there was a bald eagle flying overhead. I really think Old Abe was checking over the show grounds. The day was filled with many new adventures, but we had to leave early as my wife had business in town to take care of. We had a little time to waste afterwards and like I said before we came across a neat museum just southwest of Stormlake called Cole Museum. If you are ever in the area you should check it out. Friday was again a fun filled day meeting up with Don, Ron, and Darrel to name a few and I even seen Chuck around, but did not realize it was him. Unfortunately I missed a few that I had hoped to meet. There was just too much to see and do. Saturday was another exciting day with the tractor pull, crop harvesting and the tillage. What I learned from others that I had met at the show is just priceless. My wife went on the bus trips on Thursday and Friday and said she could not believe that the buses were not filled as they were very rewarding. After racking up 900+ miles we are now back home a little smarter and wiser with many great memories.
