Subsoiler with Eagle Hitch

Hey all, I am just wondering if anyone has any experience using a subsoiler with and eagle hitch. I have a 311B and just purchased a Countyline Subsoiler from TSC. The first time in using it I cannot get it to dig all the way down and stay down, It only goes about 8" and wants to bounce up. I shortened my top link all the way (16" is the shortest it goes) my eagle hitch is adjusted to go as low as it can go. Anyone with any experience setting one of these up?

Thanks in advance.

fixer2u I had one 20 years ago the only problem I had was traction with an eagle hitch 830. Don t remember how I had things
adjusted. RB

I have a Case single shank sub-soiler that I use. It is adjusted so the shank is straight up and down and maybe a little to the front. Surely don't want it leaning to the rear.

I think you went the wrong way with your top link. Lengthen it out so the shank tilts back just a little and it should then suck into the ground, rather than dragging up and out.

So I played with the subsoiler again this weekend adjusting so the shank was straight, slightly forward and slightly back all with the same result, it still wanted to only go about 8" into the ground and bounce up when sees any type of major resistance. Attached is a pic of the setup that worked the best. Just for the heck of it I tried backing up with the eagle hitch all the way down, and the subsoiler actually pulled all the way down right into the ground, now what is up with that?
