Hello,
I have a good running Case 730 (gas) Its not perfect but its better than average considering how old it is. Anyway, I bought it with a bucket on the front. The power steering worked fine but made some noise under load. I took the bucket off to repair a leaking hydraulic cylander. While I was at it I drained all the hydraulic fluiod out of it and replaced it with new fluid. Then I started having steering problems. It leaks pretty fast. HELP! Ideas and comments are appreciated.

The steering has nothing to do with the
regular hydraulics as it is selkf contained.
The power steering pump is belt driven on
the front of the engine and has a small
reservoir on the pump. That may be empty if
the steering leaks. The fan and pump belts
have to be kept tight and in good shape for
it to work well.

leaks really bad from where?? As Jon said, the power steering pump is near the top of the engine about valve cover height. Two hoses run to the powersteering in the lower nose of the engine. Pretty important to keep the hydraulic oil up to level, plug under the seat(I think) so your pump does not run dry and ruin it. Good luck with the pictures gobble

(quoted from post at 16:07:29 08/07/17) You have a weird way of " setting the stage" as you said. Quit wasting our time and ask what you want to know, or stop posting here!!

Easy Loren. I'm sure they will let you watch Lawrence Welk after you take your meds.

so the problem is my pics won't post. They say 1000 words and would have made.much more sense. The leak is not in the resivor above the motor it's near the bottom by the steering gear assembly. I have a manual. I read it and it's no help to me. I am not trying to jack you guys around. The pictures show everything.
