9-18 carburetor

the carburetor on my 9-18 is in bad shape. gas leaking everywhere. who can work on this for me? it will be at albert city this weekend.

So long as parts are available, any old-time auto mechanic should be able to help you. Tractor carbs are extremely simple compared to emission-controlled automotive ones. But the ones that still have all their hair have never seen the inside of any carb.

9-18, or 9-18B? Dad tells stories of playing on the 9-18 that stood junked out in the trees when he was a kid. Melted down in WW2. I have always wanted one. I have never found anyone that has much for parts for the Kingston carbs. I have always just messed with them myself dealing with one leak at a time. Very simple and basic carb. On the C's they run completely different than the Zenith tractors. Idle much rougher, and have a sound all their own. I will have 2 of them at Albert City.

Fred I could run it through the sonic parts cleaner to clean it out if you think that would help.

I have a Kingston for a L but probably too large for a 9-18.

I have all of my hair and work on carbs. BTW my big 50 is close at hand.
