I have a 1959 Case 511 BL according to the ID tag on the side. When I purchased it I was told it was a 530 BL.
I am having braking issues like trying to hold on a hill side. We did the adjustment according to then manual I have but no good on a step grade.
How hard is it to replace brake pads, where do I find them and about how much.
I live in northeast Wisconsin so if there is anyone in this area that know about this tractor I am open to suggestions.
Matt

Matt: Yours is a 511B with a low speed 4th, that is what the "L" means. As for the brakes, several things could be the problem. Tranny lube could be leaking in there, at which point the differential seals would need replacing. Or, the discs & metal parts could be glazed & simply need some roughing up w/ a sanding disc, or the discs could need replacing. At any rate, a disassembly & inspection is in order. We stock any parts you may need, and will give you any guidance you may need.

Thank you! I guess I have my work cut out for me. I do have a few friends that are mechanics and I have all of the manuals for the tractor. It does not look real hard. Matt S.
