970 not going to 3rd and 4th

970 powershift for sale about 70miles away from me that looks to be in good shape. they say it will go in 1st and 2nd and all ranges but will not go into 3rd and 4th. is this likely to be a linkage problem or something worse? any common problems that cause that?

Not likely it's the same as my 611B, but I had the same problem with it. I merely had to rotate the shifter handle a bit, drops right in now. But I wouldn't count on that working.

my 1070 came here with no 1st and 3rd ,..took to dealer 1800 bux ,fixt a few other things and new fluid ,,. the fork was bent, the range tranny is a simple old style 4 spd .if 3 and 4th both out? that problem is reflecting both shifters have problems ,.. somthin is causing both to lokout a forward movement of either shifter.
