Starting problems with the SC

New plugs, wires, rotor, points, condenser, cap, coil, ignition switch.
Difficult to start. Lots of cranking. At times no spark. Other times ok.
Then floods after all the cranking.
But starts and runs good when pulled.
What is going on here? It did better before all the new stuff.

So then why all the new parts?? I learned decades ago not to fix what isn't broken or it sure as heck will be broken.

That said TSC [parts?? Points set wrong?? Loose connections?? Bad new condenser?? etc etc

Starts and runs good when pulled suggests the problem lies with battery voltage when cranking. If you are 12 volts, you need the resistor system properly working.

Check the wire from the switch to the coil, if it is not carrying a good current to the coil, the points will not have enough spark to start. Any butt connections or splices need to be eliminated so you get full voltage to load the coil. Use a #12 wire. May not be your problem, but can't hurt. gobble

Was have starting problems and nothing had been changed out for many years.
Changed out parts over time...last couple years....trying to isolate the issues.
Yes I agree with you thoughts.

Try a hot wire from the ignition side of the battery to the ignition side of the coil. If it fires up and runs that way then your problem if form the coil back. If it does not run liek it should that way the problem is from the coil forward then or the carb
