800 and 100/1010 models were the first with counter rotating tracks, like Dan said a Nice looking unit,, I bet it was a real Load for that trailer too

Nice dozer, I have a trailer just like that and did not know if I could haul my 450, looks like I will give it a try. Rod.

Rod your 450 with loader is 13,000 lbs
the 800 should be 11,000-12,000 lbs range, my book shows 11,200 but I do not think that includes the dozer, the 450 weight is one with a loader and counter weight std bucket

I think that's right up there in the "famous last words" catagory, Kinda like "Hey! watch this.........." Don't forget the 90# in the tires..... (and don't ask how I know all about this stuff)

That would be real borderline for my trailer with 7000# axles. Figured I could hook the trailer to the 970 and the when I load the 450 I could put a little extra weight on the hitch of the tractor. I need to move it 14 mi. Rod.

Good to know you're just moving it around your place, not on the highway with that truck or trailer. Nice looking tractor, by the way.

Yes, Rod, just think, a lot of guys think cause you have 2 7000lb axles that you can haul 14k! And that's dead wrong, you have to take the weight of the trailer off the 14k, and that is roughly what you can haul. Personally, I think the trailer will fail before the axles

I have previously haul the 580C out to the farm and I would imagine its weight somewhat the same. But I got scolded for doing so and now I just drive it out. I might see if a can borrow a trailer more suitable also, Rod.
