Looking at a temp/cheap replacement until I can rebuild my 5020 which I use to bale and some light tillage. My plan was to find a 930 or 1030 not completely used up and add a turbo, additional oil cooling, less restrictive exhaust/intake and propane injection. The propane would be used instead of messing with the injection pump or anything like that. I've heard on a few of the forums that the 930/1030 head had a bad design for turbo. My question is why is this head design "not good"? I've also heard they can run hot after turbocharging but I think that could be fixed by intercooling the charged air and cooling the oil to help remove heat. Please reply with any comments or suggestions.
