1070 hydraulic level

I have an early 1070 gold demo and there are no sight glasses on the side of the transmission case. So I pulled the filler cap by the PTO and it looks like there was a dipstick on this cap at one time. There is no sign of it in the bottom of the transmission or pto. Any help on how to check level?

BOY do I feel like an IDIOT!!!! I could not find anything on the right hand side. No holes or sight gauges or anything. My 1570 is on the RH side. So I go over to the left hand side and look. Nothing until I look clear back by the brake. There they are!!! DUMB ME!!! THANKS!!!. Now can someone refresh my memory what to use to remove them and clean them, if they are still available if I break one or both, and what thread is it in housing just in case?? Thanks again!!!
 
I ALmost asked of you were looking on the right or left side, I should have sorry ,, I think someone said a deep 12 point socket will take them out I have always used a pair of pliers Very carefully,, I have seen 3/8 pipe plugs in them I am thinking they were, the new ones from Case are plastic I think the last time I bought some, I have yet to have to clean them on the inside but I know sometimes things are let go pretty bad
