430 Steering Cylinder Repack

I assume you mean the twin cylinder later style front axle? if so yes they will come out, jack up the weigh off the front axle so you can turn it by hand easy collapse one fully and it will rotate out of the axle,, keep trying they will come out when you have them just right
cnt

Yeah that's the style.

I was doing that today and they didn't want to come out, I'll keep fiddling with them.

What about the cylinder on the right side that's got like a blind stud holding it in?
When I first saw it I thought someone welded in it, but looking on line that seems to be how it was made.

you have removed the clip the adjusting nut and ball pivot washer in the rod end of the cylinder right? and then you will need to pull the castle nut off the rear of the cylinder, they can drive you crazy and they will almost fall out when you hold you mouth right as my Dad would always say
cnt

i usually reweld all thebroken welds on my 430s that come in here , whenever i have to rebuild those devils ,., that is why i remove the entire axle wash it down good and look for trouble ,,. especially if there hasdbeen a loader or a spray tank loaded on the nose

It's got a loader on it.

I'd prefer to not take the front end off, really need to get this thing out of the shop.

I was cussing it out pretty good when I was there, hopefully can get to line up right and slide them out with the front end intact.
