Please elaborate on what you mean by losing all kinds of power,, electrical, drives etc. that is the regulator / rectifier and if failed will allow the battery to discharge causing engine shutdown, it has no effect on engine power until it quits from low spark.

I was out in the field and it just slowed down like i pulled the throttle back. and then shut off. It started back up and was going real slow and shut down a few times before i got it back to the barn.It was really hard to get up my little hill.
