What loader for my Case 530?

Hello,

I am interested in buying a used bucket loader for the front of my old 1969 J.I. CASE 530. Mine is the 541 gas sub-model (this is not a 530CK).

I don't know much about buckets/front end loaders, but was wondering what I need to know to make sure I find one that fits my tractor properly. are there standard mounts on my tractor or is it going to need some special case brand one?

I know my tractor has a hydraulic for the bucket but does it just raise and lower the arms or is there a 2nd hydrolic for the bucket to dump as well?

Any guidance would be very helpful

Thank you

There is no such thing as universal loader mounts. Every tractor mfg. had unique designs and require different loader mounting brackets. The loader main frames were however made the same for utility type tractors like your 541. I doubt that you can find a new loader with mountings specific to your tractor, so you are stuck having to fabricate mounts and adapt a utility style/size loader to your tractor. Great bend and Swartz loaders were very easy to adapt from one brand of tractors to others.
As far as your hydraulics you should have two circuits. A single acting for the 3pt hitch and a double acting for the remote circuit. I would buy a diverter valve and plumb it in to the 3pt circuit to feed a two spool loader valve.

Thanks for all the helpful info

I def was not looking to buy new. My thought was to hunt on craigslist or somewhere to find a used one that would just bolt on. Are there any model numbers or ways to know if a specific loader and mount will fit? i'm trying not to break the bank with this idea of a loader so any thoughts for getting a used bucket on this thing would be great

I'll start looking into some used Great Bend and Swartz loaders and see what i find out

thanks again

I live in Michigan

is this loader a direct bolt on for my tractor then?

any pictures?

does it allow for both raising/lowering the arms along with another hydrolic for scooping/dumping the bucket?
