900B won't start

My 900B diesel was always a good starting tractor until last fall when it refused to start. We changed all of the fuel filters and have them all bled out, but the pump does not deliver fuel to the injectors. It has an American Bosch pump. We took the cover off and the gears at the top of the pump appear to be turning. I have heard of some pumps breaking a shaft. Is this one of them? If it is can we still see the gear and shaft turning when it is broken above the inspection cover? We are looking for answers and any help will be appreciated.

The part that breaks can not be seen from the out side,you might check to be sure the key hasn't broke in the gear transfer pump as that has to put fuel under pressure into the pump head.
