1070 engine ?

I?ve got a 1070 with a bad PS trans. (I brought it this way just for the tires which I?ve swapped onto another tractor). The 451 motor is in pretty good shape. It?s an older tractor and I?m not really interested in attempting to fix the PS unless I split it and find something obvious and cheap to fix. I might consider switching the motor/front half onto something. I?ve seen a 2090 and an 1175 for sale with blown motors. Would either of these be an easy swap? 70 series go pretty cheap around here now, so I don?t want to put too much time or money in. With the 1175, could I split both tractors at the bell housings and roll the two good halves together? (I?ve split a few Fords, but never split a Case). I know the 1175 is turbo and 8sp. Any other interesting candidates I should look out for, to swap the 1070 motor into?
Thanks,

The 1070 front half should go on the 1175 rear easy, just have to use the 1175 flywheel of course. Could even swap the 1175 exhaust and turbo on the 1070 engine. Rod.

Chris Where are you located?
I am north of North Battleford and I just stripped down a 1070 that had a bad engine but a good powershift.

Thanks Rod, I thought it should bolt up after switching the flywheel. Good to know I could probably switch the turbo as well.

Not to much left of your 1070 Determined. I'm near Craven. I sold a part off my 1070 to a guy near me and I'm pretty
sure he said he had got some cab parts from North Battleford. Maybe from your tractor?
