Help identify plow

Hi cleaning up a farm yard and came across this case Plow
I'm a jd guy so unfamiliar with other coloured iron
Was hoping to advertise it to sell but would like to identify it properly
It has a special hitch that can be removed
One neighbour mentioned it would fit a case 430
It would seem to big to me for a 430 to pull it in my soil type
Are these plows on demand and any idea what the value of it may be
It does seem to have 3 fairly new points on it
I know if it was John deere the points alone are hard to come by
Any help would be appreciated

This is a Case BER plow, which is dated around 51,52 or 53 by the color scheme. The 3 bottom would fit the Eagle Hitch DC series tractor. They pop up here in central MN and sell in the 2-4 hundred dollar range. A 3/14 mounted can be used in lighter ground behind the last of the SC series, with the larger bore cylinders. That's what I have and use in small plots. My wife has an herb business, and it does a nice job on 1/4 pieces.

I posted below about an almost identical plow I just picked up. You have a Case model M plow with the Scotch bottoms (the harpoon tips with the extra curvy moldboards). On top of that you also have the hydraulic depth adjust on the mast (not sure if that was an option or standard equipment on this model) that allowed the plow to have a hydraulic cylinder which would adjust the angle of the plow on the go. The break away function of the plow was so that if the plow should snag something beneath the soil, it would split in two rather than breaking the plow (assuming you had the spring set right). This plow was introduced during the eagle hitch era but will work with 3 point as well. The plow is a 3 bottom but was designed to be taken down to a 2 bottom.

A few other notes: You have the depth wheel bracket on the left side of the plow but the actual wheel assembly is not pictured. If possible I would look around and see if that is not laying in the dirt to go with the plow. The same goes for a tail wheel and its mounting bracket (if it originally had one).

As for a price I am unsure exactly. It is the less common variant having the scotch bottoms on it (and those being in great condition) so that will add to the value. However, only having one piece of the depth wheel and the tail wheel is a down side. Finally location matters on the price as well.

I have attached a picture of my plow that was posted on a different thread below.

oldproudvet, The BER is the next series older plow with the "I" beams for its frame. Both the BER and M used the breakaway but the M had the smooth iron beams. I have attached a link to an earlier case post that Joe Young answered.

That is a very nice, unique J. I. CASE Plow. Coulters all there, but I don't see the tail wheel. As Conner said, it has a "Breakaway" Mast, or Hitch, designed that way as a trip, if you hit something in the ground, to protect the tractor & plow. In most soils, that would be too much of a load for a 430. It would be a shame to remove the hitch & cobble something. With 2 CASE aficionado's at an auction bidding against each other, I'd say $300.00.
