adding triple remotes

I have had a 970 with a triple remote for operating cylinders on batwing for almost 30 years plugged into the tractor remote with a lever tied open. works ok,but I think this is raising my trans temp. I saw a archive from casenutty. Do I plump the inlet line into the remote feed line off of the pto valve and where does the return line plumb into? Thanks in advance

As long as your triple valve is an open center valve it should be OK. There is always the possibility one of your couplers is restricting the oil causing it to heat up. When you activate the tractor valve to circulate oil through your triple valve without activating the triple valve, does the engine change speed if at an idle? It would be better if your return oil went through a larger coupler with no restriction and that coupler was mounted to dump the oil into the rear end below the oil level. Back through the original coupler and valve back to reservoir does build restriction and heat.

On a 70 series the hydraulic return oil needs to go back through the valve as this is where the PTO gets its lube oil.We ran into this 25 years ago with a John Deere chopper with electric over hydraulic controls. If I remember right we welded a fitting for a hose and coupler to the steel line that feeds the 3 point valve, that saved running oil through the remote valve to avoid heat and still lubed the PTO

sorry for the delayed reply, been working a lot. The engine does not change when moving the tractor remote at idle.
