If you have a O'Reilly's auto parts around they yell them. Part number 9994 Omni spark brand. That is if I remember the part number. I had a old spark plug box here to make it easy but the wife threw it away on me

The carbon/graphite ones tend to brake down due to what a tractor engine goes threw. Plus they are resistance type plug wires and many tractor distributor systems are not made to be used with resistance type plug wires. And if it has a mag then that can cause the mag to get super hot and burn up coils etc.

Old . I think that is the type of wires I had . The tractor ran well for about 10 hrs ,then began to run with less and less power .

Carbon core wire is used to suppress electronic interference by limiting current flow, something you don't need on an old tractor, plus it tends to break down with age. I remember when it came out in the late 50's, real crap then, especially for 6 volts, and had a very short life span although it is better now. Copper is best for vibration, weather resistance that is common to tractor use.

The link is a good run down on different types of plug wires.

The carbon type wires do not handle the vibration and the things like tree limbs hitting them etc etc well so they then stop working as they should which can cause engine miss fires etc.

Do a search for Brillman. Then search for Packard 440.
It has been the "setup" for at least 50 years.
Others will work but you asked for quality.

Thanks. I ordered a different set . They were way cheaper then I expected . I'll hold on to your info and get in touch with those folks if these wires aren't getting it done or break down .
