Case model c intake manifold

Hello gentlemen. Trying to bring a nice old c back to life. The intake manifold has a nice big crack in it. I don't know much about these tractors but mine has a square box shape. I've seen some that are pipe shaped. What are my options?

Manifold from a DC will fit. I think you have to use a DC carburetor.

I'm sure some of the other Case guys will know.

The square box style is the all fuel version. It was designed to use the exhaust gasses to help warm the intake and preheat the lower cost fuels. The original style was prone to cracking and many have been changed to the pipe style over the years.

The pipe style was not original to a C, but would have been on the gasoline D series. They are pretty durable and relatively affordable as an alternative.

Depending on how bad the crack is, you might be able to find a welding shop that could weld it or braze it.

Actually, if you take the part off the C manifold where it attaches to the oil bath air cleaner you can still use your c carburetor.

Yes, I'm in also in NY. About halfway between Rochester and Syracuse. Glad to hear it came free for you!
