Even more SC questions!

If I am correct, a 41 SC did not have a bypass oil filter as original from factory. Years ago, I scrapped an AC cartridge type filter that was mounted to the right side of the battery support, in an attempt to " look original ". Even thou a low flow filter would not seem to help much, I would like to replace it on the tractor. If I remember, it was blue and white. If anybody knows where one is available, with brackets, please let me know.

Also, early SC's had a rubber rebound cushion for the seat suspension. This was above the channel that supported the seat and the 5/8th's bolt that retained the coil springs ran thru it. I have tried to replicate one, but rubber products I am finding are to hard. Original was gum rubber and quite soft. Any idea's?

I have a 41 SC. someone added an oil filter by welding bolts to the block to act as mounting studs.

Mine has the rubber rebound cushion. Also has a rubber grip on clutch lever.

I beleive you are right, I have a 1941 operator's book and it does not mention the oil filter. They could be ordered as assemble 3712AA. The book for my 1943 S does not mention it but my tractor does have one, it also has the rubber seat bumper.
Right now Ebay (search through "Case SC tractor") has 2 of the filter canisters for sale, around $30.00-$40.00. I get the filter cartridges for mine from NAPA. I figure its better then nothing and looks kind of neat
