Case 530ck won't move

I got some time to work on the tractor today and now everything is working with the exception that it won't move. The tractor is a 1965 Case 530CK with the caseomatic transmission. I took the line off the feeds fluid to the cooler in the front of the tractor and fluid seemed to be gushing out. I checked the filter and it seemed to be in good condition so I put it back in (Should I have replaced it anyway?). Then I removed the line coming back, and it didn't seem to have much flow. What is expected here? Should there be a lot of pressure or just some flow? Pushing the pedal in didn't have any effect. I've read that a control valve could be stuck open - would the valve cause this issue? Where is this valve to check?

The first picture shows the pipes I disconnected. The second shows the view from the other side (Can you see the control valve here?).

Thanks for any help

I was also reading another post ànd it sounds like there should be a dipstick for the torque converter fluid. I looked everywhere and can't seem to find it. I have a dipstick for the transmission fluid on the right hand side of the tractor but can't find any others. Is there a dipstick for the torque converter? Or another way the check torque converter fluid level?

The dipstick is right around the corner from the right rear column support. that is the torque tube checkpoint and services the torque converter as well, that should check full immediately upon shutdown and allowed to run several minutes to fill the torque converter which drains back after sitting overnite, If properly filled the dipstick will read a couple inches overfull before starting and go to level after a few minutes.

That makes sense, it does read over full when I checked before starting. I'll have to check it again after letting it run for a few minutes.

Another question, where can I get a pressure gauge for the torque converter? It doesn't need to be oem, just needs to fit and read the correct pressure. Ideally, I'd like to get one locally but will order online if I can't find one. I looked at some auto parts stores but haven't been able to find one. Where did everyone else get one?

So I took off the control valve and pressure regulator and cleaned them up. The pressure regulator seemed to be slightly stuck but everything is in good working order now. I got everything back together and put a new pressure gauge on. Now I am looking for some help on next steps. Do I need to pull the cover and check the pump or is there something else I can check before that?

With the clutch pedal pushed down, the pressure slowly rises to about 30psi, and when I release it, pressure drops to 0.

Another thing I noticed is that the previous owned bypassed the oil cooler. The lines go to the filter and then back to the control valve. Would this have any effect?

Thanks for any and all help!

Just to give anyone an update who might be following this thread or future reference - I pulled off the top cover and cleaned up everything I could including the pump and all valves. Everything looked in pretty good shape and I decided to drain the fluid while I had everything open.

I FOUND ACORNS AND LEAVES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RESERVOIR!

One of the previous owners must have had it open for a while outside and let a bunch of stuff in. I ended up pulling the acorns out of the drain hole on the bottom. I had to break up the acorns with needle nose pliers to pull them out. Not fun but I cleaned up 99% of the crap in there.

After cleaning it up, I refilled it with new fluid and got everything back together. I fired up the tractor and away she went. Thanks everyone for all their help - from this thread and all the others here!
