Please Help With ID Of This Old Case

A friend gave me his old case tractor. It's said to run, but it needs a ton of work. I know nothing about it other than what I have observed. There is some stickers under the (wrong color) paint that say it's a 600. My search leads me not to think it's a 600. Any help with this would be helpful.

I'll be needing a manual or this baby. I plan to restore it and fix the parts that have been butchered such as that front end. It's horrific.

Looks like a Minneapolis Moline z to me.....

Until you make enough posts or ask for
permission to post photos, we are going to
be guessing.

Looks like a 600B series, Ag version 611B. Model/serial nr tag, if it still exists, located as in pic. Link to parts manual, do some comparisons to confirm ID. I wasn't aware of pic posting restriction, ask moderator at "site comments" on drop down menu classic view.

Model year 1959, 611B COM general purpose tractor. Original PS was Char-Lynn in steering shaft (looks like it is still there). PS hydraulic cylinder is a jury rig.

Engine serial nr is stamped into the block above the starter, usually vertical on that flat pad above the solenoid. Engine serial nrs for 00B tractors all have the same pattern i.e. 3 digits + letter + 5 digits: 123A12345. The 3 digits is the engine family, letter indicates a modification from basic engine, 5 digits is the serial nr for that specific engine.

611B has 164 cid engine. Serial nr likely is 176 + Letter + 5 digits.

The beam on the front axle looks like it is Allis Chalmers with CASE parts to adapt the the 600. Is it still a tractor if it is without a drawbar .

I don't know if it was optional on the 600B but 310B & 410B utility tractors had an optional adjustable front axle like that. 611B is a larger tractor than 310B/410B definitely wouldn't be a drop-in swap.
