Hi, I was looking for some insight. I have a 1976 case 1070. It wAs operating strong . Power shift sounded and worked great. I was seeding and spun down got stuck.l stoped right away shut tractor Down to get another one to pull out. When I returned and fired her back up I had no trany pressure and grinds when trying to shift into gear .( tractor did try to edge forward when it ground) power steering works .trany oil is full . It just quit after it was shut off. If the main clutch is gone when the rivets shear will it go into gear with out grinding? Any thoughts ?

A late SN as yours should have the pump drive direct from the flywheel, not through the torque limiter disc as early ones were. The 8 gas side of the pump must be working as you have steering and brakes. If I were diagnosing I would isolate the main pump from the circuit and do a flow test with the tractor system out of the circuit, once the pump is verified ok I would tee test and watch flow readings at the remotes while activating all hydraulic functions , if the pump tests ok and the power shift does not work and ther is no tranny pressure then the flo divider will try to satisfy the tranny and the remotes will not work indicating a bad leak in the power shift, a tee test will not work unless there is flow to the remotes however, first order, verify the big part of the pump proper flow.

Found what looks like a valve blown out u see the
floor plate on top of trany
