930 Wheatland Weight?

Few months ago I went and looked at a bunch of Case carcasses, few of them could be cleaned up and made into runners, but the old lady was asking too much so I passed.

Well I ran across the ad again and I'm thinking about trying to get the parts machines.

Most of the tractors are 930 wheatlands. Looking up the weight on the internet, I'm coming up with 8850lbs, how accurate is that? Was hoping to get two on the goose-neck, since they are 100miles away, and would be moving them myself, don't want to overload the trailer any worse than I have too.

There is a 600 in there that I'm going to try and save just because it's rare.

It's a pretty sad looking pile.

Ours had big tires and weighed 9000#. Not easy to get to 8500# for pulling. I would say their weight is dead on.

Ok cool, thanks for the confirmation. Probably should only put one on the gooseneck behind the little 3/4ton Dodge.

The 600 will be the hardest to move unfortunately, given where it is in the fence row and missing that rear tire.

Man, what a mess, I would give them a offer on everything as to me, they might be tired of it, you might get surprised. Scrap plus 10%

They are located about an hour outside of Houston.

And yes it's a sad mess, typical story of folks running tired equipment far too long with no idea how maintenance should be preformed.

What would be the best way to move that 930 on steel? I was thinking attaching 2x12's to the ramps, then screwing some plywood to the trailer deck where the steel wheels would contact to prevent any punch through.

Never messed with a tractor on steel before.
