Working on my VAIW and putting the rad. on with new hoses , NEED a Thermostat ...
check with one parts store and No Luck ... Got to check with others ..

Does anyone have a # or idea what thermostat works ???

THANKS .............. mark

VAI original T-stat cracked at 150 degs although I read here some use 180 in VA with no apparent problems that I know of. I buy 160 for VA & 300, which were available at NAPA and cut down the rim to fit the hose and seat on the top of the elbow. If there is no bleed hole in the rim, drill one about 3/16".

I forgot to write that I also add a 3rd hose clamp in the middle of the hose to ensure the T-stat remains tightly seated on the elbow rim.

Well John, at least I am learning to check your site more often. You couldn't have had them very long?

Joe

Joe: We've been making them for close to 10 years, but about 3 years ago I had a new Die made that gave the T'stat a longer skirt, and that I was more proud of, so I think that is when I put them on the website. That 1/2 @ss website only contains a small fraction of what we offer. Best to just call or e-mail your needs.
