I have a 630 and would like to put a backhoe attatchment on it. does anyone know if it is built just as strong as the 530 hoe? I would not go any bigger than whats on a 530. hope to use the same externall pump that now runs my fell. any ideas?

I have a 630 sitting side by side with a 530 and the axle housings are different. they don't appear lighter but they are different. the 530 has 4 holes in each side for the heavy plates that the hoe and subframe attachment bolts onto while the 630 does not. the 630 sits higher and if you were to pick up a 530 series 31 loader/hoe I guess maybe the outriggers would go down far enough to touch the ground. I also know backhoes usually have higher ply rating tires to handle the extra weight. makes me wonder about the effect of the weight on the cast spoke type rims on the 630 vs the stamped steel ones on a 530. just some ideas to kick around. hope that helps.

actually my 630 has 28 inch tires on steel wheels not spoked so I don't know?

also my old 530 hoe had the industrial front end and i still managed to break a front spindle doing heavy loader work. the ag tractor front end is lighter and will wear faster ect... still if i had a 530 with a blown motor i wouldn't hesitate to build a loader tractor with 3 point and live power that i could put the hoe on and off when i needed to do work. i have thought about doing it with a 530 and my biggest reason not to do so with a 630 would be the axle housings not having the holes for the sub frame. sounds like maybe yours is different. some fabricating may get around that anyhow. hope it works out.
