how the fork do you get the forking fork off?

How do you get this thing out?

You have to reach behind the fork with a short wrench and unscrew the stud from the clutch shaft quill were it shows the 3/8 washer. Dennis

I had to pull the housing out. Be prepared to replace the gasket behind it!

I haven't had to pull the fork on a VA but I doubt you can get it off and get it reattached w/o pulling the quill cover. Pic is 300 tractor fork, not same p/n as VA but I believe for this purpose it is the same, 300 pivot stud flats are 7/16" wrench size.
