Put new points coil condenser cap wires whole ignion system bout new .tractor will start somtimes other times it will not can pull it and will start in 2ft . what is killing fire when using starter.

Bad IGN switch? you also should have wire coming from the starter solenoid that hooks to the Coil to give it 12 volts on startup if that is not hooked up it might give you a hard start
cnt

starter drag. if your starter is dragging it will take to much voltage to crank the engine over and you will not have enough left to get a hot enough spark. very common problem on LP tractors. pulling as you said you do not need the starter and get plenty of voltage to the plugs. undersized battery cables or ones with replacement ends also is a common problem when this happens. check your voltage at the coil while cranking. It will probably be low. worked on a john deere 520 lp 2 weeks ago. they replaced everything in the ignition except the battery cables. they paid a mechanic for 4 hours labor and he swore it was the LP system. a rebuilt starter and it fires right up.
