sources for SC 3-gauge set

I see several gauge sets for Case SC tractors. (Looking at 12v) Not that expensive, but I wonder about quality. So much is made in China that I've lost trust for a lot
of parts. Hard to tell from photos.
Where have you all had success?

A couple of things I've noted, the cheaper gauges tend to have plastic faces, they don't hold up, leak and yellow. You want glass. Also take note of the style of the "CASE" stencil on the face, it should match the era of the tractor. Also there are temp guages with the wrong scale, non pressurized cooling systems can't get above 212? so a scaled gauge reading 280 with your operating range over to the left, hardly twitching the needle. No big deals but important to some. The SC, at least by my early and late OM have 0-60 op faces, the VAC with lower op's uses the 0-30 face. Dealing with John S or Don L in Austin MN gets you the right stuff. Plenty of other good folks out there too, just know what you want

Dennis: I do not know of any USA manufacturer of re-production CASE gauges for the lettered model tractors. Years back there was 1 supplier, but I have not seen their ad in a long while. They may still be supplying them, I don't know. As for imported, ours come from Taiwan, and we chose them because they look the closest to the originals, right down to the needle. Both brands of imported gauges feature a real glass bezel. Once in a great while, we have to warranty one, but not often.

The company that sold USA made gauges was Antique Gauges Inc. of Cordova, MD, see link. I think they may be out of business? Their gauges were made by Murphy Gauge Company. They had plastic fronts instead of glass, but the ones I bought from them have held up well. I have not had any of them go bad and haven't noticed the plastic yellowing.
