Case Model L tire and wheels question and costs

Hey,

My uncle has a 1931 Case Model L that's been parked for quite awhile due to the back rims have rotted. It was originally on steel but placed on a matching set of Firestones in 1947. It still has those tires
on it. We've wanted to get this tractor up and moving again but we fear if even if we torch the rims off the spoke wheels, those tires have been on there so long, we'll wreck them trying remove
them......Would anyone know where to find good old firestone's with vintage tread pattern - if they even exist at all anymore.....and how much it'd cost to replace the tires and rims all together? I don't
remember the tire size but it was something like 15 x 30 or 18 x 30......I will try to include some pictures of it from about 10 yrs. ago and when he had it all shined up and considered selling it.

We also pondered the notion of putting it back on steel. But, does anyone know where the best place to look for a set would be and how much a pair or rear steel currently goes for?

If anyone has those tires, it would be Miller Tire in Wauseon, Ohio. Check out their website for available sizes, style and price.

You could use a cut off wheel on a 4in. grinder to cut the rim off the spoke. Then cut the old rim in half and save the tires. That way there is no heat. If the bead is rusted to the rim and tears the rubber of the bead I have used inner tube and gorilla glue to fill in the torn spots. Saved a 42in. tire that way. Steve

Just make sure you don't use a torch or weld near the tires. It will cause them to blow up violently.
