David Brown 880 clutch

I replaced the drive clutch pad on a hand me down David brown 880 and now I can't get the drive clutch to work. Ion matter how I adjust the clutch it doesn't seem like it is disengaging when I push the clutch in. The PTO clutch is working great after cleaning up the plate that sits between it and the drive clutch pad. I tried starting in gear and it moved, so the clutch is not stuck it just doesn't want to work with the petal. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have the flywheel and PPA assembly turned back to specs?

Did you adjust/set the set screws inside the clutch housing, on the pressure plate? There are 3 screws with jam nuts, should be .070-.080" of clearance on the end of the screws. This is what gives you your 2 stages.
