970 case cleaning spool valves

Hi guys, I've got a 970 case with transmission issues. From what I've read about the symptoms I've narrowed it down to sticky power shift spools. I don't have a manual, this tractor is new to me and I don't have any experience with this series of case tractors. So I would really appreciate it if there is someone out there who would take the time to give me step by step instructions on where to locate and how to clean the spools. Thanks.
