case 440 oil pan

Hello, I would like to know if I need to remove the front axle in order to remove my oil pan. I seem to be able to access all the bolt, but don't know if I can slide it sideway or if I need to remove all the front axle. Thanks for your help

you will need to support the front of the tractor and then remove the 5/8" bolts holding the axle pivot and wishbone bracket, and then raise the front of the tractor some more, or roll the front axle out from under the chassis It doesn't take long to do. Don't forget to use proper jacks to support things before you crawl under it. I have a two leg H frame made from angle iron that I bolt to the bell housing. It supports the entire front of the tractor.
