I have a mid 80's Case/David Brown 995. The oil pressure switch is shot. I would like to put a gauge on it but need to know what the thread is. I thought it was 10 X 1.0 but it's finer than that. anyone have any idea.

They quit building them in 1980.

The thread is 1/8 BSP. It is 28 threads per inch versus our 27 thread per inch. You can run a 1/8 npt tap into the hole 4-5 turns then use a common fitting. Put grease on the tap to catch the chips so they don't end up in the engine. Then crank the engine with fuel off to use engine oil to flush out the hole on any chips you missed.

Disclaimer, the above process works for me, may not work for you, you may ruin your engine.
