Question on 1030 Nose sheet metal

I have 2 of the front hood pieces that the headlights are in. One has the side vents and one doesn't. I know at least some 1030s did not have the vents. Both came off 1030s and both have 1030 decals. Is this a vintage thing or has someone put a 930 hood piece on at some point?

It's a year thing. I think 68-69 had vents earlier ones didn't. Or vice versa. Check the color of the steering column you used. Orange steering columns were 68-69 and had straight brake pedals. Earlier ones had curved brake pedals and a desert sunset colored steering column. Hope this helps

Here is my 69 930, early ones had the vents

One is 67 and has yellow column the other is late 68 and had red column. Both have the straight peddles tho. The pieces are off so I don't remember which came from which.

Dads is a 1968, no vents, orange column and straight pedals.
