Case/pioneer bracket

Hi Everyone,

I'm still working on the 400 - it finally came time to give the hydraulic lines a little bit of attention. Most of the case ends were either stuck or bad - I was only able to save one. So, it meant I had to change over to pioneer fittings. When I did this to my DC there was no way to make the pioneer ends work in the Case bracket. To my surprise when checking the pioneer product catalog they had these...

They seem to work well - will probably order a few more sets for the other Cases.

One more pic for progress sake - I'm about 2 years into this resto, just finished with eagle hitch cylinder rebuild this weekend. Most mechanical stuff is done - maybe paint this summer!

Happy planting everyone!

Wanted to show you a plate we put on my "411" as it can be very taxing on this chassis, gives me piece of mind when I'm lifting some heavy pieces

Thanks for the pic Ande - I was following a forum earlier discussing loaders on these tractors. The farmhand has a pretty good plate bolted but have heard the stories where the block breaks. At this point in its life it sees some light yard/wood duty.

John the top link mount is something my dad fab'ed up years ago. He began to make them a little more refined on the older 30 series we had. They are on all our eagle hitch tractors....

Although the link mount at the PTO is rough cut, I am impressed with the design! Here is another one that impresses me .CM

Go to a salvage yard and get all the clamps like that you can see yourself using. They're cheaper, plentiful and usually good as new. For a factory look, coupler clamp will go in the case crescent shaped bracket, I enlarged the bracket holes to match the pioneer clamp bolts in ours but you could use the smaller case screw if you want.

Chuck: My concern is that all the stress is on the 2 top bolts, whereas the OEM mount spread the stress out to all 4. For PTO work, where the implements are usually light, it is fine, but I think, for a set of plows, or similar tool, the original bracket should be re-installed.

John,
I would agree. By the time these brackets were made we had bigger tractors for ground engaging implement work with dedicated 3 pt (930, 1086). These brackets typically saw spin spreaders, bale forks, sickle bar mowers, and brush hogs - all of which worked great. Not sure I would want to plow with it! I have the original bracket for that.
I hope you and Chris received that package ok!
