I have a 1959-1960 Case 410-B Utility tractor. It has a added 6'6" front Case loader and a backhoe added. I want to change the oils but unsure of the ones in the old manual. It calls for 30w engine oil, should I go to 10w-30? The transmission calls for 90W, should I change to Hydraulic oils? And the Case-O-Matic torque convertor calls for 10w motor oil, should I use hydraulic oil also? It seems to me that newer lubricants may be better? Thanks for any help.

Your tractor you use what you like, myself I changed over to Case 15-40wt HD dsl oil 30 years ago for all of my engines, from my Case compacts to my 2670 all run the same oil year around, I also use only Case Hy-Tran hyd oil in every thing power steering to powershifts all get this oil the rear ends is fine with 90wt, some tell me I throw money away but I feel my equipment is worth using the correct and even better upgraded current oils offered, that is my opinion and what has worked for me the last 40 years with Zero failures, again use what you want it is yours just giving my thoughts, to me a good quality product is the cheapest way to go
