Anyone use Wagner loaders on their SC? Story/decisions...

I've had my 1953 SC for about 3 years. Photos attached of her when and where I found her. Has cracked nose casting which PO, "fixed," by banding around where the crank hole is. I have good replacement casting but figure the loader will have to come off to replace casting. Also have complete, spare, wide front axle, etc., just to be sure I won't be short of parts.
SO..my question today is do any of you retain and use a Wagner loader on your SC's???? Sure seems a heavy attachment for what appears to me to be a light duty front end. My Wagner is the correct model and a good fit, but that does not convince me to keep it. I am considering my options: sell the whole outfit as is, or, in about 3 weeks my neighbor and semi-retired tractor mechanic is ready to do all the repairs. (I'm too old now to take on heavy work by myself) I have new paint, new rear seat rubber, "spring," (another $100), plus a couple manuals and a few other parts. Tractor runs great and has fresh head rebuild, carb rebuild and a very good Delco distributor conversion, (still have original mag).
My main interest here is to request comments on these loaders on this tractor.
Thanks, Dennis - Odessa/Ritzille, E WA state

I cannot comment on the loader, but a "53 SC w/ wide adjustable front end & correct top link assembly is highly desirable. Don"t let that Magneto out of your possession, most of the time, they just need a good internal cleaning & re-adjusting.

I have a Wagner loader mounted on my Ford 2600 Diesel. The Wagner loader is the best loader I have had. Very rugged and frame is better that most. The loader is very simple to maintain. The 2600 Ford also has a Woods backhoe attachment mounted on the 3 pt hitch. For me this combination is perfect.

This loader was used earlier on a 9N Ford which was did not have enough HP to handle it. As another poster said, don't discard the magneto.

Didn't have many Wagner loaders I know of in Iowa. But we have had several sc's and dc's with horn loaders and trip buckets. Not as heavy as your Wagner but still a good loader. But most narrow front ends. I think that would be hard on your awf but it's your tractor.

Nedd, your comment is exactly why I'm on here bringing up this discussion. The first time I ever saw one of these wide-front end SC's, I thought they looked nose-fragile. And that's probably why mine needs some repair now. On the other hand, a good owner using one carefully and not overloading.........????
And I still feel that were I to keep the tractor, AND the loader on it, I'd still have to pull the loader to replace that nose casting. They replace the loader back on it with the result being a questionable tractor/loader combination.
And, John S., when I said I kept the original magneto, I meant the mag that was on it when I got it. (It worked well then) I seem to remember it is not a Case branded mag, but another well known mag. manufacturer. (Wico, FM, etc.) Certainly worth keeping with the tractor.
I even consider the original Wagner name plate on the loader worth protecting, but that's me again............
