Oil leak at injection pump 830

I would like to fix the oil leak before spring work here in
central Wisconsin. It leaks oil between drive and pump. Seems like
I should find a timing mark before I take the pump off. Any
suggestions? Big Sal

Yes, under the big 1 1/4 on the drive housing there is a line on a tab on the injection pump and the drive gear has a scribe line etched into the gear, turn until the scribe line lines up with mark on pump before removal. Timing upon reassembly should be done from the pointer and degree marks on the front engine pulley. You will need to have a rag and some cleaner to clean the gear of oil as you rotate it as the line sometimes is hard to see. Often the decal is still on the timing cover telling the proper timing for the engine, you may want to check, if not people on here can give you the spec.

Yes there is a scribe line timing mark under the big screw plug..
1 on the pump drive hub & 1 on the front bearing flange..
VERY hard to see.. if your looking from the front of the pump towards the back of the pump, the timing mark on the bearing plate will be approx. 10-11:00. its just a single chisel mark.
If I remember correctly, the timing is HI 20's to low 30"s.. pointer on front & * marks on balance..
Your gonna need the Bosch 10 digit # off the name plate if your getting the oring/gasket from a pump shop..
Good luck.
