jon , they have nice botanical gardens there ,, and the arch tour is a must ,, wisht i could recall rhe ph # of .the guy that sold my db 1210 to me he was near columbia, but a great guy ol farm boy to meet ,,

Union Station is worth seeing also - pretty close to the arch if I remember correctly.

I use to deliver aluminum coils to East St. Louis. Call ahead for directions and they would tell me to not come in at nite....said they wouldn't find me or the truck the next morning. Not someplace I would want to live.

It Is AWsome ,, i love taking my kids and nephewsand niesces friends there ,,.been there about 4 times or more , ist time was in christmas 78 with my new lovely bride ,, some joker had stompt the word" jump "in the snow , aint no way you could get out up there ,anyways ,,it was ablustery windy sunshiney day ,, and that arch DOES MOVE with the wins d ,, AS i t SHOULD ,my dear wife did not like that moving feeling ,,. so we did not stay topside much over 10 mint]es ////////. they predicted at least 12 men would die building thar arch in 1965 ,,.as GOD would have IT ,,. they never lost a single life
