I have a good dieasl engine in a630 case a matic will it bolt into a 300 triple range was told in another post the 188 is longer that is easy to deal with but what about the back of the engine do I have to cut the starter flange off thanks in advance

I do not think the bolt pattern is the same. Measure the top bolts across the bell housing.

i have been lead to beleive that any 2 bolt starter bell housing /motor is not happily interchangeable with a 3 bolt starter /bellhousing ,,// however there are alot of determined exceptional mechanic out there that can prove my statement wrong and these same guys can graft a apple tree with a limb from a pear and grow pears and apples on the same tree ,,. LOL
