A-6 Combine and Swather again

I have posted these before but after seeing a couple and talking to a couple of gentlemen at our case meeting I have a couple questions.

Our old A6 that we used to have had a factory 4 cylinder Hercules engine on it. I have never seen another one on an A6 and never seen any literature about it. Does anyone have any information on this odd engine setup? Wish I had taken a picture of the Info plates on both the engine and combine!

Also, if the folks from Illinois who we sold it to are on this Case forum, would they be able to post pictures of it nowadays? Hopefully they got both those fixed up and running. We sold them well before we knew about YTMAG, unfortunately.

No i dont, but you got a rare A-6, all the ones i seen back home, had a V-4 Wisconsin.

My son has the same engine as yours from a A-6. We took the engine but left the machine as it was in bad shape. The radiator on my sons was rusted thru so he took and put a radiator from a 955 Case swather on it.His has the round fuel tank also which led me to believe it was a early machine. I have a 77 model combine with the Case air cooled engine.

Dad's A-6 had the same red wagon hitch on his A-6. Don't know who made them but part of it is still here.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I should write it off as an early model option?

I guess I will have to search for the old telephone number of the guys who bought it and see how it looks nowadays.
