Oil leak

On the 530 case I have with the gas engine there is a good oil leak coming from the governor control rod is there anyway to remove this rod replace the seal without taking the cover off the front of the engine?
 
Sorry but no there is not, also make sure and inspect the housing / ect as you may have wear there as well and it could take the seal out again faster
