Took Amtrak train across the country looking for some Case tractors. Have seen very few, but will end up in Manhatten to visit family. Sure wish we had more time to look up Loren, John and other YTers. Will do a few days of sightseeing and the head home again, Rod.

How has your train trip experience been so far? Do you recommend it for others? How many days to cross the country?

So far so good, two days from MN to NY. The more we road the more relaxed we got. Sort of learned the rutine of Amtrak. Will know more when we get back home. Rod.

Hello Rod,

It would be great to get a report when you're back home again. I've always wondered how traveling by train is. I hope you have an enjoyable trip. Don

Rod, Did you go through Toledo Ohio, on your way east? We farm about 25 miles east of Toledo and the tracks are less than a half mile from us. Jerry from Ohio

Rod: NYC is about 5-1/2 hours SE of us, Thank God. When you were about 25 miles East of Rochester, NY you were about 20 miles North of us, but you were right in Klyde's back yard!! Enjoy your trip!!

. 1370 rod. So nice to see that you have made a big trip on the Amtrak. Me and the old woman are wanting to take a trip from Il. to Portland Or. and return to Il. to her brothers place.. I sure wish I could talk to you some time about what to expect etc. If you would call me when you get back and settled down I would really appreciate it . Thanks >>> Jack

1370rod Sorry I forgot to put in my phone number. This is what happens when you get old. 813 782 0352 late evening is the best time for me. Thanks >>> Jack
